Title:
CYTOMODULATING CONJUGATE OF MEMBER OF SPECIFIC BINDING PAIR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3105629
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a conjugate capable of selectively activating or inactivating a cell group of an immune system, and containing a moiety capable of binding to a target cell receptor and a moiety capable of binding to an effector agent.
CONSTITUTION: A target cell is inactivated by introducing a conjugate to a host including an endogenous cytotoxic effector system containing at least one effector agent. The con jugate contains a moiety specific to a surface membrane receptor combined to a selective moiety (e.g. blood type antigen) capable of forming a cell-inactivating complex by binding to the effector system. When the selective moiety binds to a T-cell, the moiety binds to a T-cell receptor, and the effector system contains an antibody-dependent cytotoxin system containing the antibody specific to the selective moiety, and the effector agent, or the T-cell. The cell is inactivated when binding to the target cell of the conjugate and the effector agent.
