PURPOSE: To provide a garbage disposer capable of sealing the specified amount of garbage.

CONSTITUTION: A cassette 10 described below is provided by surrounding a garbage discharge cylinder 8 into which dehydrated garbage is discharged. The cassette 10 holds a cylindrical resin film by folding it in a ring shape in the axial direction thereof. A thermally sealing sealer abuts against the resin film which is fed from the cassette 10 and becomes a garbage bag 18 and is provided in the lower part thereof. A measuring vessel 11 is positioned in the lower part of the sealer and holds the garbage bag 18 and also detects the volume. The measuring vessel 11 is fitted with both a bag detection plate 30 for detecting the garbage bag 18 and a bag detection switch 32 in the lower part of a front and rear partition plate 25 of a case body. A photosensor 34 constituted of a light receiver 36 and a light emitting device 35 is provided in the upper part and a door 15 opposite thereto.
