To provide gargoyles capable of being stably installed and preventing the infiltration of rainwater from openings among the terminal section of a ridge and the gargoyles to the inside of the ridge and the inside of a roof.

The gargoyle has an upper section 9 with an underside facing a roof when the gargoyle is mounted on the roof and a lower section 11 composed of a frame body 10 integrally formed to the upper section 9 and downwards extended along the peripheral section of the underside, and the frame body 10 can be solved by manufacturing the gargoyle cut and worked so as to coincide with the surface shape of the roof, on which the gargoyle is set up. The gargoyle may have the upper section with the underside facing the roof when the gargoyle is installed onto the roof and the lower section separably formed from the upper section and composed of a pedestal surface, on which the underside is placed, and the frame body 10 downwards extended along the peripheral section of the pedestal surface.
