Title:
GAS BLOWING NOZZLE FOR VESSEL CONTAINING MOLTEN METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59118821
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the wear rate of a nozzle for blowing gases from the bottom of a vessel and to prevent the clogging of the penetrating holes by providing a circular cross-section to the shape of the body of the nozzle, and arranging plural penetrating holes in concentric circles in the circular cross-section at equal intervals.

CONSTITUTION: The shape of the body 3 of a nozzle for blowing gases from the bottom of a vessel into molten metal is regulated so that a cross-section perpendicular to the blowing direction is made nearly circular. Plural penetrating holes 1 are arranged on concentric circles in the circular cross-section at equal intervals. The diameter of the holes 1 is about 0.3W10.0mm, preferably about 0.5W 6.0mm.
