To obtain a gas-blowing tuyere for refining, changable to gas flow rate in the wide range according to the bath depth and the temp. condition with a simple equipment by supplying the gas so as to be the tangential direction and cross at a specific angle to the axial direction in a cylindrical gas duct and forming supplied gas circular flow progressing in the tip direction of the tuyere.
The gas is blown from the tuyere arranged at the inner wall of a refining vessel for molten metal to stir and refine the molten metal. The gas is supplied from gas supplying pipes 4 through the gas duct 1 which comes to the tip part of the gas blowing tuyere for refining and has almost round shape in the cross sectional shape. At this time, this gas supplying pipes 4 are arranged so that the main axial line 3' is the tangential direction of the gas duct 1 and crosses at the angle θ=45-80° to the main axial line 3 of the gas duct 1. By this structure, the gas flow 2 in the gas duct 1 is surely formed to the circular flow and the rotated stirring gas regardless to the flow rate, is supplied into the molten metal to efficiently and stably stir the molten metal.
