PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion flow injection analyzing method capable of reducing the time necessary for analysis, reducing a used reagent amount to reduce the waste liquid amount, miniaturizing a device to allow the easy analysis by taking the device to a sample collection site, and to provide the device therefor.
SOLUTION: This gas diffusion flow injection analyzing method uses a gas diffusion cell 10 having a sample solution flow-through chamber 12 and a reagent solution flow-through chamber 13 side by side separated by a gas permeable membrane 11. A gas in a sample solution is diffused into a reagent solution through the gas permeable membrane 11, and a change in the reagent solution is measured with a photometer. A piston pump type sample feed pump 18 and reagent feed pump 31 each having a capacity capable of storing a solution amount necessary for at least one analysis are used as pumps for feeding the respective solutions into the respective chambers 12, 13. After feeding the respective solutions into the respective chambers 12, 13 by operating pistons 21 of the feed pumps 18, 31 to pressing directions, the feeding of the solutions are stopped. Then, by pressurizing the inside of the sample solution flow-through chamber 12 and/or decompressing the inside of the reagent solution flow-through chamber 13 to generate a differential pressure between both the chambers 12, 13 and keeping that state stilly for a prescribed time, the gas is diffused.
