Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the opening and closing of gate plate by one-half of cylinder stroke by making a supporting member equipped with a second cylinder movable by a first cylinder and making the gate plate movable by the second cylinder.
SOLUTION: A soil removal hole 10 is provided at the rear end of a screw conveyor of a shield drive machine, and opening and closing is made possible by a gate equipment 11. The gate equipment 11 is provided with a gate plate 12 for covering the soil removal hole 10. That is, the second cylinder 17 is attached downward to the supporting member 13, and the gate plate 12 is coupled to the tip of the cylinder rod 17a. The supporting member 13 is raised or descended by the first cylinder 14. When the gate plate 12 is fully closing the soil removal hole 10, the first cylinder 14 is set to the shrunk position and the second cylinder 17 is set to the extended position. The first cylinder 14 is extended and the supporting member 13 is raised, the second cylinder 17 is shrunk and the soil removal hole 10 is fully opened. By using the first and second cylinders together, the cylinder stroke can be reduced to one-half.
