Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject element excellent in luminous efficiency and emitting in high brightness by nipping at least one layer containing at least one kind of specific derivative between a pair of electrodes.
SOLUTION: This element is obtained by nipping at least one layer containing at least one kind of bis-4,4'-benzo[k]fluoranthene derivative of the formula [X1-X22 are each H, a halogen, a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) alkoxy, a (substituted) alkylthio, a (substituted) alkenyl, a (substituted) alkenyloxy, a (substituted) alkenylthio, a (substituted) aralkyl, a (substituted) aralkyloxy, a (substituted) amino, cyano, hydroxyl, group, etc.; the adjacent groups among X1-X22, X1 and X6, and X7 and X12 may be bound to each other to form (substituted) carbon ring type alicyclic groups, respectively] between a pair of electrodes. If necessary, a hole injection transport layer containing a hole injection transport component and/or an electron injection transport layer containing an electron injection transport component may be disposed.
