Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an electroluminescent element incorporating a conductive organic compound, with which a light emission layer having a low rate of defect generation even as a single layer and which presents a high stability. CONSTITUTION:An electroluminescent element is basically formed from a transparent board 1, transparent electrode 2, light emission layer 5, and back electrode 4, which are laid one over another in the sequence as named. The light emission layer 5 is formed from a highpolymer compound to constitute parent material and a light emitting material (conductive highpolymer compound) 7 to be included in the parent material 6. A thin film of parent substance 6 is immersed in a polymeride liquid for preparing the light emitting material 7, which is accomplished through an electrolytic polymerization process in the condition that the polymeride liquid permeates the thin film of parent material, when a polymerizing reaction takes place in the parent material 6 so that the light emitting substance 7 is taken into the parent material 6. If necessary, the parent material 6 may contain an aid material 8 for light emission such as fluorescent pigment, etc.
