Abstract:

To make an organic EL display with high reliability by creating a glass composition for sealing which is suitable for local heating by irradiation with laser beams and attains compatibility between low softening characteristics and high water resistance.

The glass composition for sealing includes, as a glass composition, by mol% expressed in terms of the following oxides, 5 to 30% SiO2, 31 to 55% B2O3, 15 to 55% ZnO and 0.1 to 25% of CuO+Fe2O3+V2O5+TiO2+MnO2.
