Abstract:

To provide graphitic powder for a fuel cell separator in which electric conductivity can be greatly improved even in case of being molded by a resin binder.

As for the graphitic powder for the fuel cell separator, a value of true density is more than 2.16 g/cm3 and 2.27 g/cm3 or less, and a value of molded body density is 1.3 to 1.7 g/cm3 when being molded with a pressure of 50 MPa. Furthermore, the fuel cell separator contains the graphitic powder and resin. Furthermore, in a manufacturing method of the graphitic powder for the fuel cell separator, the graphitic powder is obtained by further heating after a graphite precursor powder is heated up to at least 550°C at a temperature rising speed of 10 °C/hr or more.
