PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably open a trip circuit of a switch without interrupting power supply to a distribution line by replacement between a connecting connector for ordinary use and a testing connector for test use.
SOLUTION: A connector 31 is connected to a connector 27, and an output terminal and an input terminal of the connector 27 are short-circuited. In this condition, a control circuit of a ground relay 5 and trip means 14 to 17 of a switch 3 is set in a constant condition, and a grounding accident of a distribution line is monitored. The connector 31 is removed from the connector 27, and a test connector 45 is replaced with the connector 27. A characteristic test circuit using a grounding characteristic tester is constituted by this replacement, and a trip signal circuit is put in an opening condition. Therefore, while keeping the distribution line in an electrified condition, a grounding operation test for only the ground relay 7 is performed.
