To make it possible to feed a guide wire over a long distance on beams of a ladder cable rack, by providing a guide wire leading metal fitting with a lifting section for lifting the guide wire above the beams of the ladder cable rack.

First, a guide wire leading metal fitting is mounted at the front end of one guide wire 1 and then the guide wire 1 is fed forward and then a horizontal contact section 4a moves stably over lateral beams 3a. Under this condition, the guide wire 1 is further fed forward and the front end of a next guide wire 1 is added to the rear end of the former guide wire 1 and, in like manner, the guide wires 1 are added one after another and are fed forward. By this method, the front ends of the guide wire 1 get over the lateral beams 3a without bumping against the beams, thereby feeding the guide wires 1 over a long distance. Therefore, by using this guide wire leading metal fitting, a cable or electric wire can be laid easily over a long distance on the ladder cable rack 3.
