Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive hard coat film for controlling optical characteristics suitable for a displaying device, an optical disc, etc., using a polarizing film, and a method for producing the same.
This hard coat film includes the hard coat layer consisting of a photo-curable resin or thermosetting resin on the surface of a polycarbonate film, wherein the polycarbonate film has the following characteristics (a) and (b). (a) The difference of haze values before and after immersing the film in methyl ethyl ketone for 5 sec is 20%. (b) The film consists of the polycarbonate resin having 50,000 weight-average molecular weight. The method for producing the same is also provided.
