Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide holographic HUD which consists of a holographic combiner for far image-formation with uniform in-surface diffraction efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: Near the glass surface of an automobile, there is a luminous indication means 6, which has beams which go into the glass surface as divergent spherical waves, and the beams are transmitted for diffraction at a prescribed angle by means of a transmitted type (second) hologram 4 enclosed in the glass surface, and go into a reflective type (first) hologram 5 as plane waves for reflection and diffraction in a direction of driver's view of 7 by means of the first hologram 5, and for recognition of indication information as virtual images at a position of 7a.
