PURPOSE: To easily exfoliate a hardly exfoliative scale and further more to simply and surely exfoliate by disposing the titled header in the width direction and transferring vertically to access to a traveling steel strip and moving horizontally and turnably by a prescribed angle in the traveling direction.
CONSTITUTION: In front of a finishing rolling mill on a rolling production line for a hot rolling steel strip and in confronting to the steel strip, the descaling headers 3A, 3B are arranged in the width direction freely vertically liftable, and sufficiently capable of approaching to the traveling steel strip. At the same time, the headers are freely capable of turning horizontally by a prescribed angle θ for a table roll 2 in the traveling direction. Therefore, without increasing the flow rate and without decreasing a overlap value, a collision force per unit area is increased by accessing the distance between the steel strip and the headers 3, the exfoliation can be simply and surely performed.
