Title:
HEATER FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3489455
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the boiling of cooling water caused by a pressure loss without adding any water pumps or increasing a water pump capacity even if a compartment heater and a combustion heater are disposed in series on a cooling water circulation passage.
SOLUTION: In this heater 1, engine cooling water is heated by a combustion heater 17 provided separately from an engine main body 3; the engine main body 3, the combustion heater 17 and a compartment heater 9 are connected by a cooling water circulation passage 10 so as to use the engine cooling water as a heat medium for the compartment heater 9 of an engine-mounted vehicle; and the engine cooling water is circulated to the cooling water circulation passage 10 by a water pump 40. Thus, by performing pressure control for a portion of the cooling water circulation passage 10 between the combustion heater 17 and the compartment heater 9, the pressure drop of this portion is prevented.
