Abstract:
The heater (1) has a heating body (3) with open-porous metal foam (4), a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The metal foam is arranged between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet such that a fluid flowing-in through the fluid inlet and flowing-out through the fluid outlet is laminarized by the metal foam. An electrical resistance heating element (2) includes a wound heating wire, and is directly connected with the metal foam. The metal foam is arranged between two retaining elements e.g. two grids, that are flow-throughable by the fluid. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for simultaneous heating and laminarizing of a fluid (2) an electrostatic separator comprising a shell-shaped electrode (3) a separation device for separating particles from an inner surface of a shell-shaped electrode (4) a method for separating particles from an inner surface of a shell-shaped electrode.
