Abstract:

To provide a thiophene derivative, and to provide an anticancer agent containing the derivative.

The medicinal composition for treating diseases caused by angiogenesis of mammals comprises a therapeutically effective amount of compounds of formula (1), pharmaceutically acceptable salts or hydrates thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier thereof. Wherein, Z is S or the like; X is CR4 or the like; X1 is O, S or the like; and R is CONR5R6, CO2R5, NR5R6, NR5SO2R6, SO2NR5R6 or the like.
