Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honing machine on which a smooth oscillation is applied to a main shaft without giving the main shaft excess force and moment while the velocity and the amplitude being easily changeable, so as to improve the characteristic of the honing machine, that is, processing accuracy and efficiency are sensitive to the velocity and the amplitude applied to the main shaft.
SOLUTION: In this honing machine which pivotally supports slidably and rotatably a main shaft on which a tool for honing processing a processing hole of a work is mounted at the tip on a main head slidably installed on the main body, a link member is set up in a swingable way on the main head around an oscillating axis square to the main shaft, and the main shaft and the link member are connected in the vicinity of the main shaft in such a condition that they are relatively ratable with regulating a relative move in the main shaft axis direction and are relatively movable in a direction at right angle to the main shaft axis, so that the main head is provided with an oscillation imparting device which applies an oscillation to the link member.
