Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper that eliminates the need for a complicated structure, prevents formation of bridge of powder stored in a hopper and is provided with an agitator and discharging means for smooth discharge.SOLUTION: A box type hopper 1 has a supply port in an upper opening, a discharge port 6 in a bottom plate 4, and an agitator 2 inside. The agitator 2 is composed of: a rotation shaft 7 extending horizontally in a central portion thereof; paddles 9a, 9b and 9c attached via support branches; and flexible strings 14a, 14b and 14c. A discharge port covering plate 10 is installed above the discharge port 6. Between the covering-plate leading end and the bottom plate 4, a slit-like gap 11 is formed in parallel with the rotation shaft 7 so as to face the paddles 9a, 9b and 9c. By rotating the rotation shaft 7 of the agitator 2, the paddles 9a, 9b and 9c circularly move accompanying the flexible strings 14a, 14b and 14c. The box type hopper 1 agitates powder to prevent bridge, pushes powder into the slit-like gap 11, and discharges the powder from the discharge port 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
