Abstract:
To provide a wiper device that can maintain fixation between a pivot shaft and a waterproof cover even when the pivot shaft is subjected to vibration in a direction along an axial direction of the pivot shaft, and to provide a method for assembling a wiper device.SOLUTION: A wiper device 5 includes: pivot shafts 6a, 6b; pivot holders 10a, 10b for supporting the pivot shafts 6a, 6b; a pipe frame 7 fixed to the pivot holders 10a, 10b and extending in a direction crossing with axial directions of the pivot shafts 6a, 6b; and waterproof covers 20a, 20b for covering the pivot shafts 6a, 6b and part of the pipe frame 7. The waterproof covers 20a, 20b include: a pivot cover part 21 for covering peripheries of base end parts of the pivot shafts 6a, 6b; and a frame cover part 22 capable of engaging with the pipe frame 7. The frame cover part 22 includes an opening part 29 that is open toward circumferential directions of the pivot shafts 6a, 6b and receives the pipe frame 7 only from a circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
