Title:
HUMIDITY SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6482601
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a humidity sensor having improved sensitivity and responsibility, by dispersing metallic particulates within a matrix consisting of a silica- alumina composite.

CONSTITUTION: Particulates of transition metals such as Ni, Cu, Pb and Au and other metals such as Sn, Pd, Al and Ge are dispersed in a matrix consisting of a silica-alumina composite produced for example by sintering aluminosilicate (zeolite) powder. By using a material having chemical adsorptivity such as aluminosilicate, the metallic fine particulates can be easily dispersed uniformly therein. Thus, humidity sensors can be produced with reduced variance in performance with high yield.
