Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the concentration of stored hydrogen and improve safety by forming a heat conducting plate having an opening for hydrogen gas passage to produce a spiral gap for filling hydrogen absorbing alloy powder and housing said plate in a container. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical hydrogen storing container 1 is formed of a pipe 2 for supply and discharge of hydrogen, a valve 3, a filter 4 for preventing hydrogen absorbing alloy powder 6 from scatter and a heat conducting plate 5. For example, the 0.5mm. thick and 2m long heat conducting aluminum plate 5 has an opening consisting of holes for hydrogen gas passage (100 holes having 0.3mm. diameter/cm<2>). It also is formed to produce a spiral gap and housed in a container 1 such that the end of said plate contacts the inner wall of the container. For example, the gap of the heat conducting plate is 4-5mm. and filled with 80- 250 mesh and 20kg powder of TiFe system alloy 6 for hydrogen absorbing alloy.
