Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the service life of a battery by setting the maximum value of a charging current or the maximum value of a discharging current according to the charging/discharging state of individual unit batteries mounted in a hybrid car using an internal combustion engine and a motor jointly. SOLUTION: A hybrid car is provided with an inverter 4 installed between a multiphase alternating current rotary machine 2 and a battery 3 so as to perform AC/DC or DC/AC conversion, and the inverter 4 is controlled by a program control circuit 7 according to the output of a speed sensor 5 and a rotation sensor 6 for detecting the rotating speed of a driving device 1. A current sensor 8 is provided to detect the charging-discharging current of the battery 3, and the program control circuit 7 computes the time integrated value I on the chargingdischarging current. The charging current to the battery 3 at the time of regenerative braking, and the discharging current at the time of traveling drive are controlled according to a function of this time integrated value I. The battery 3 is provided with a battery sensor 10, and the charging efficiency of the battery 3 is set according to a temperature function.
