Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the subject type of a drafting apparatus for guiding fibers between two aprons to become fairly reliable and especially fitting to a so-called ribbon spinning.
CONSTITUTION: This drafting apparatus of a spinning frame is characterized by the following structure: a guide member 17 has at least one stepwise concave facing a bottom apron 6 and a top apron 9 is placed so as to project over the edge 14 of the member 7 and a spring-loaded apron cage 10 directly presses the apron 6; a nipping area between two aprons exists immediately in the upstream side of a pair of delivery rollers 4 and 5 facing the edge of the member 7 so as to approach a nipping line between a pair of inlet rollers 2 and 3.
