A tensile force sensing mechanism 60 for sensing cable tensile force is provided in a cable 47 via tubes 73, 99. A vehicle is provided with a control part for control of stopping an engine by judging that the tensile force sensed by the tensile force sensing mechanism 60 reaches a predetermined value and a clutch disconnection condition is satisfied. With a cable tensile force (predetermined value) in a clutch disconnection state determined preliminarily, if the sensed tensile force reaches the predetermined value, it is judged that the clutch is in a disconnection state. Thereby, the clutch disconnection state is sensed regardless of the size of the backlash amount in the clutch operation system.
