Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling stop propriety determination device which can further accurately determine propriety of an engine start after an idling stop.SOLUTION: An idling stop propriety determination device 1 which determines propriety of an idling stop on the basis of an open circuit voltage (OCV) and internal resistance of a battery which performs charge and discharge comprises: a current measurement part 12 which measures a current flowing in the battery; a voltage measurement part 11 which measures a terminal voltage of the battery; a cranking resistance calculation part which calculates cranking resistance; a battery state estimation part which estimates the open circuit voltage and the internal resistance by sequential calculation; a cranking voltage calculation part which calculates a cranking voltage on the basis of the open circuit voltage, the internal resistance and the cranking resistance; and an idling stop propriety determination part 15 which determines that the idling stop is possible when the cranking voltage is not lower than a prescribed voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
