An ignition coil 1 includes: a center core 23 made by compression-molding soft magnetic material powders; a primary coil 21 wound around the center core 23; a secondary coil 22 arranged on an outer peripheral side of the primary coil 21; and a mold resin portion 29 made from thermosetting resin, and covering the center core 23, the primary coil 21, and the secondary coil 22. At least a part of a surface 230 of the center core 23 around which the primary coil 21 is wound is coated by resin coating made from the thermosetting resin. At least a part of the center core 23 coated by the resin coating is coated by elastic coating having elasticity.
