Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data management system for outputting an electronic document file managed by a personal computer or an image data file such as image data from an image forming device capable of easily and surely executing the destination of a file to be outputted and an output method.
SOLUTION: A printer icon 200EX and file icons 210, 211, and so on configured of a plurality of parts 200A, 200B, and so on are displayed corresponding to the selectable functions of an image forming device on the monitor image of a personal computer. The file icon 211 to be outputted is dragged and moved to any part on the printer icon 200EX, and dropped there. Then, the function indicated by the pointer 220 when the file icon 211 is dropped is defined as the selected function, and image data corresponding to the file icon 211 and control information associated with the selected function are outputted to the image forming device.
