Abstract:
To provide an image display apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the image display apparatus is applied to an active matrix type image display apparatus based on an organic EL element e.g. to prevent image quality deterioration due to light from an adjacent pixel.
Light shielding grooves 30 are formed on a flattened film 11 to shield light emitted from a light-emitting element (16) to a transistor 7 of an adjacent pixel by the light shielding groove 30.
