Abstract:
To provide an image display apparatus which prevents density difference between display media and can perform uniform image display.
A controlling unit 11 initializes a plurality of image display media 1A to 1D constituting a display panel 10 by applying an electric field produced by superposing an offset voltage determined according to the respective display characteristics of the image display media 1A to 1D on a reference AC voltage V1. Then an electric field formed by a writing voltage V2 according to the image data to be displayed is applied on the image display media 1A to 1D to write division images in the respective image display media to display as one integrated image on the display panel 10.
