Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the electrophoresis display panel by applying an adhesive soln. added with a fluorine surfactant into which particles are dispersed on one substrate, drying the coating to provide particle spacers and disposing another substrate opposite to this substrate. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 2 is provided on the transparent glass plate 1 and the adhesive soln. dispersed with polyethylene beads is applied thereon. The adhesive soln. is prepd. by using the polyethylene beads, acetone, epoxy resin, hardener, and fluorine surfactant. the soln. concn. is preferably specified to 0.1 to 10wt.% and the amt. of the fluorine surfactant to be added to 1.5 to 1/30 the amt. of the adhesive to be added. A 'Teflon(R)' frame is placed on the film 2 and the adhesive soln. is injected into the cell and is allowed to evaporate, by which the substrate with the spacers coating the beads 3 with an epoxy resin 10 is obtd. The adhesive 11 is applied on a polyethylene terephthalate film 10 and this film is laminated on the substrate with the spacers. An electrophoresis dispersion system is injected into the cell and the cell is hermetically sealed to obtain the display panel. The remaining of bubbles is obviated and the time for injecting the display liquid is shortened according to this constitution.
