To solve the problem wherein it is difficult to maintain comfortable brightness for passengers for a main cause of complicated change since brightness of a display screen is changed due to a use environment when using an image display in a passenger cabin of an aircraft or a train.
The image display has an environment information obtaining part 801 for obtaining environment information of passenger moving bodies giving influence on the brightness of the display screen of the image display provided with a backlight set in the passenger cabin of the passenger moving bodies; an environment information analysis part 802 for estimating the brightness of the display screen from obtained environment information; a backlight luminance calculation part 803 for calculating luminance of the backlight 807 on the basis of the brightness of the display screen; and a backlight luminance setting part 806 for setting the luminance of the backlight 807 on the basis of a calculated value of the backlight luminance calculation part 803.
