Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a power supply of a control part which updates a firmware from being turned off while the firmware is being updated.SOLUTION: An image formation device operates at least in a first power state and a second power state. The image formation device includes control means for updating a firmware, and power supply control means which stops power supply to the control means under a condition that a power supply switch has become a specific state by operation of a user in a case of the first power state, and stops power supply to the control means under a condition that a power supply off request that is transmitted from the control means has been received in the case of second power state. The control means, when updating the firmware, controls so that the image formation device shifts into the second power state.
