Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with various printing forms by calculating copying required time required for copying the number of copies inputted by an input means from development time and printing time obtained by a prediction means.
SOLUTION: Whether or not an original is left in an ADF is confirmed, and in the case that the original is not present in the ADF, the image size of the respective pages of the original is read from a RAM 103 and printing required time composed of the development time and the printing time of the respective pages is calculated. Then, for the respective pages, by calculating required sheet number printing required time for the respective pages and adding the required sheet number printing required time of all the pages together, the entire printing required time is obtained. It is displayed at an LCD 54 as 1-scanning multi-copy required time. Then, the printing required time of the respective pages composed of the development time of the respective pages and one-sheet printing time is obtained, it is all added together and one copy total printing required time is obtained. By multiplying it by a printing copy number, electronic sorting required time is obtained and it is displayed at the LCD 54.
