Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation system which improves the appearance and damage of a recording material in comparison to a system always permitting mutually-opposite folding stripe and folding.SOLUTION: An image formation system includes: an image formation machine which forms an image on a recording material; a folding stripe machine which is connected to the rear stage of the image formation machine and forms a folding stripe on the recording material; a folding machine which is connected to the rear stage of the folding stripe machine and folds the recording material; and an instruction reception unit which receives an instruction expressing the direction of the folding stripe in the front and rear directions of the recording material and the direction of folding in the front and rear directions of the recording material. When the folding machine is a first type folding machine out of mutually-different first and second type folding machines, the folding stripe and folding in the same direction are executed by the folding stripe machine and the folding machine. When the folding machine is the second type folding machine, the folding stripe and folding in the mutually-opposite directions are executed by the folding stripe machine and the folding machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
