Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that has a sleep mode in which power consumption is sufficiently suppressed during the print standby period and prevents the occurrence of image failure including fixing failure and hot offset.
An image forming apparatus rotates a heating and fixing part immediately before shifting to a sleep mode to improve reliability of the thermistor detection temperature after returning from a sleep mode.
