Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce the complexity of work for preventing color mixture compared to before.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus can simultaneously or selectively mount image forming means having a plurality of replaceable units 114, 160, 150 for each of two or more colors, and is provided with: color information storage means that is provided for each of the plurality of units of at least one image forming means; reading means 101a, 101b, 105a, 105b that read information on the information storage means; replacement detection means 250 that detects replacement or attachment and detachment of the plurality of units; and determination means 300 that determines, when the replacement detection means detects the replacement or the attachment and detachment, whether the pieces of color information match each other in the plurality of units based on outputs from the reading means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
