Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an operation panel projecting from an apparatus body, and prevent, when a user accesses the apparatus body, the operation panel from being an obstacle to the user and prevent the user from contacting the operation panel.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus that executes a print job for forming a toner image on a recording sheet, the image forming apparatus including: an operation panel that can be moved between an operation position projecting from a front face of an apparatus body and a storage position retreated to the apparatus body side from the operation position; acquiring state information indicating the state of the apparatus body (S502); determining whether the state of the apparatus body is a state where a user requires an access to the apparatus body or a state where the user is accessing the apparatus body on the basis of the state information (S505); and when a result of the determination is affirmative (S505: Y), moving the operation panel to the storage position (S509).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
