Abstract:
To provide an image formation apparatus which can suppress contamination of a recording material due to toner contamination and winding to a pressure member of the recording material while maintaining the energy-saving property.SOLUTION: An image heating device 200 includes a heater, a fixation member which is heated by the heater, and a pressure member which has an elastic layer contacting the fixation member and forming a nip part between the fixation member and itself for conveying a recording material and is rotationally driven, and heats an image formed on the recording material by individually heating a plurality of heating regions divided in the longitudinal direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the recording material by using the heat of the heater. The image heating device includes a sequence of rotationally driving the pressure member while performing heating control of a first heating region of the plurality of heating regions at a first control target temperature and heating control of a second heating region at a second control target temperature different from the first control target temperature in a period in which the recording material is not conveyed by the nip part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
