PURPOSE: To reduce a condition setting operation on an original where additional information is composed by automatically recognizing color information marked at an optional position on the original and automatically setting the condition of the additional information.
CONSTITUTION: An image address counter 360 counts marker area signal MK extracted in a marker processing part in synchronism with an image processing clock for every picture element in the area and the counter value is held in a latch 361. Comparators 362 and 365 compare the value latched in the latch 361, and then the minimum value MIN is held in a latch 363 and the maximum value MAX is held in a latch 367. The signal MK is analyzed in such a way and information on the image position in a marker area which is marked with a color marker on the original is outputted to a controller. Then, the controller obtains the direction of add-on information and magnification by the arithmetic operation and writes them in a two-port RAM. A laser part controller sets the information in respective control circuits, and information setting for next add-on printing is completed.
