PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which excellent fixability can be obtained even if toner is fixed by a film heat fixing system after a low printing rate developing operation suppressing the amount of development of the toner to a lower amount is repeated multiple times by a developing device using an elastic blade as a toner regulating member particularly under a low-temperature low-humidity environment.
SOLUTION: The image forming method having a fixing film 13 and a pressurizing member 2 forming a fixing nip part N between itself and the fixing film and fixing by heating a recording material P carrying the unfixed toner t on its surface while nipping it with the fixing nip part N and conveying it, is characterized in that the toner is prepared by adding hydrophobic silica of ≥90% in a hydrophobic rate and A/B=3 to 30, B=4 to 10 in the amount A (pieces/g.10-18) of surface silanol and the amount (mass%) of carbon to coloring particles containing at least coloring agents and a binder resin.
