Abstract:
To provide a new communication procedure for data communication between an image processing apparatus and a mobile device.SOLUTION: An MFP 1 comprises a document platen 51 and a reading head 52, and moves the reading head 52 from an end of one end toward the other end and causes a light emitting unit 521 of the reading head 52 to emit light during the movement. A mobile device 3 comprises a touch panel 33 and a camera 35 on one face, and in a state in which the mobile device is placed on the document platen 51 of the MFP 1 with the one face being directed to the document platen 51, in response to detection of the light emission from the MFP 1 with the camera 35, the mobile device causes the touch panel 33 to flash on and off at high speed. When the MFP 1 detects, with the light receiving unit 521 of the reading head 52, the flash on and off of the mobile device 3 at high speed, it stops the movement of the reading head 52. After the stop of the reading head 52, the MFP 1 performs data communication with the mobile device 3 placed on the document platen 51 by using the reading head 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
