Abstract:
To generate an image taken under a desired illumination condition from a captured image even if a subject distance changes.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes image acquisition means 301 for acquiring image data obtained by imaging a scene including a subject, first acquisition means 105 for acquiring distance information from an imaging apparatus that captures the scene to the subject, storage means 202 for storing normal line information corresponding to a predetermined feature pattern associated with the subject, generation means 304 for generating normal line information to be applied to lighting processing corresponding to the image data on the basis of the distance information and the normal line information stored in the storage means, and lighting processing means 306 for executing the lighting processing for the image data using the normal line information generated by the generation means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
