Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous alkali metal type power storage element arranged so as to impart an adequate high-temperature resistance, as required in installation on a vehicle, and to show an excellent low-temperature characteristic.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous alkali metal type power storage element comprises negative and positive electrodes each having a particular compound at an interface, of which the proportion is arranged to fall in a fixed range. Thus, it becomes possible to suppress the reductive decomposition of an electrolyte solution which can be caused at the negative electrode interface, and the oxidative decomposition of the electrolyte solution which can be caused at a positive electrode interface, and to smooth the diffusion of alkali metal ions at the positive and negative electrode interfaces. In this way, high input and output characteristics in a wide temperature range, and the suppression of gas generation and the degradation of characteristics owing to the decomposition of the electrolyte solution under a high temperature environment can be achieved in the nonaqueous alkali metal type power storage element.SELECTED DRAWING: None
