In the first stage, the plurality of patches in which the mixing ratio of two or more colors of the ink is different are recorded, and on the basis of the information of the patch selected from the plurality of recorded patches, one group is selected from a plurality of groups including the plurality of correction tables for correcting the recording data to be used for recording images. In the second stage, the patch selected in the first stage and the plurality of patches composed of the difference of the mixing ratio smaller than the difference of the mixing ratio of each of the plurality of patches recorded in the first stage are recorded, and one correction table is selected from the plurality of correction tables corresponding to the group selected in the first stage on the basis of the information of the patch selected from the plurality of recorded patches.
