The television peripheral device setting system comprises a television broadcasting receiver 1 and a peripheral device 10. The television broadcasting receiver 1 is provided with a means 3 for receiving user input and preparing setting information, a means for setting a television on the basis of the setting information, a means 8 for connecting the peripheral device, a peripheral device identification means, and a means for transmitting the setting information to the peripheral device 10. The peripheral device 10 is provided with a means 11 for connecting the television broadcasting receiver, a means for receiving the setting information from the television broadcasting receiver 1, and a means for setting the peripheral device on the basis of the received setting information. The television broadcasting receiver 1 is provided with a means for displaying the setting information being prepared and set by a GUI.
