PURPOSE: To apply the different types of independent editing processing to the different areas of a singe piece of original with an image processor which designates an editing range by writing it into an editing sheet.

CONSTITUTION: A desired area is designated on an editing sheet in a closed curve and then a processing mark is put into each closed curve. This editing sheet is reed by an image scanner 3. The editing data are inputted to an evolving memory 14 as the image data via 8 CPU 13. The contents of the memory 14 are processed into the area designated data and the editing contents data and inputted to an editing memory 15. Then the original is read by the scanner 3, and the image date on the original are inputted to an image processing circuit 10. The contents of the memory 15 are inputted to the circuit 10 in the matched timing. Then the image data are edited and sent to a thermal head 18. Thus the different types of editing processing are applied at one time to plural areas of an image.
