Abstract:

To provide a reflex printing system that can accurately register two or more colors and improve the image quality.

A media transport moves an intermediate belt 120 along a media path in a process direction past two or more print heads 122, 124, 126, 128, 129, which deposit inks onto the intermediate belt. A velocity measuring device 130 directly measures, and transmits to a controller 138, the speed of the surface of the belt that is to receive an image, so as to send print commands to the two or more print heads to control the speed of printing. The inks deposited on the intermediate belt have a color registration of 10 to 20 microns.
